About Me

I am Frances, a thirty-something wife and mother. I spend my days working from home as a historian and simultaneously raising my 1 year old daughter. When I'm not delving into census records from the 1860s, translating 200 year old French documents, reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and singing "The Wheels on the Bus," I'm thinking about faith, home, family, and food. My family has been in Louisiana for 9 generations, and my Creole culture is an integral part of who I am. Welcome to my Creole life!
